BEIJING,June24(Xinhua)--China-EuropefreighttrainservicessawsolidgrowthfromJanuarytoMaythisyear,withthetransportcapacityandefficiencycontinuouslyrising.
ThenumberofChina-Europefreighttrainservicesincreasedby16percentyearonyearto7,126tripsinthefirstfivemonthsoftheyear,accordingtotheChinaStateRailwayGroupCo.,Ltd.
Some774,00020-footequivalentunits(TEU)ofgoodsweretransportedviathefreighttrainsduringthisperiod,up31percentfromayearago,thecompanysaid.
InMayalone,thenumberofChina-Europefreighttraintripsincreased13percentyearonyearto1,515.Thetrainstransportedabout165,000TEUofgoods,markinganincreaseof29percentfromayearago.
AsoftheendofMay,thefreighttrainserviceshadreached213citiesin25Europeancountries.
